Surface Safety Solutions provide our clients with fail-safe surface safety valves (SSV) and reliable control panels for standard and demanding operations, such as production, well intervention and stimulation. Wellhead Control Panel

Single and multi-well panels are planned and manufactured client-defined specifications. We are able to offer high quality, well designed and constructed well control systems with a proven track record for reliability and ease of maintenance. These panels are suitable for use in remote areas, on offshore platforms and even in hostile environments.

The standard single well control panel is designed to operate one hydraulic controlled subsurface safety valve and up to two hydraulic (or pneumatic) controlled surface safety valves for any type of well. 


It automatically closes the safety valves in response to alarm conditions requiring shut-in. 


Safety valves can be shutdown either manually or automatically, at the panel or remotely. 


Some panels include logic, enabling the wells to be controlled by an ESD/temperature safety element (TSE) plug loop and high/low process pressure pilot. The panel monitors the status of the flowline high-low pressure sensors and provides shut-in of the well during emergency conditions. 


It is available with a wide selection of options to ensure that your particular production requirements are addressed. 

Multi-Well Control Panel

Multi-Well Control Panel

Multi-well control panels are a combination of standard pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic based logic in a single integrated solution for multiple wells in both onshore and offshore applications. 


The multi-well control panel is a fail-safe system using control logic. 


Solutions can be completely customized to meet customer operational requirements from weight and footprint layout to operational functionality. 


We also offers standard designs where client preferences are not defined. 


As an option, our multi-well control panels can incorporate removable and interchangeable well control modules, each controlling a single well. 


Any well module can be easily isolated and removed without affecting the operation of any other part of the well control panel. 


Existing modules can be removed and a spare module installed with a minimum of downtime. These custom designed panels can be built to accommodate any number of wells. 


There is also an option to add a functional PLC to the panel. 

Surface Safety Valve

Safety valves are hydraulically or pneumatically actuated gate valves. The actuators, either hydraulic or pneumatic, are designed and manufactured for simplicity, ease of maintenance and adaptability in compliance with API 6A specifications and as required for different applications of size, stroke and force. 

Features and Benefits

  • Lightweight - Simple design provides a lightweight actuator. 
  • Excellent Corrosion Protection - Internal and external surfaces coated with Xylan.
  • Sour Service - Compatible with both sweet and sour (NACE MR0175-2000) control fluids.
  • Visual Indication - The shaft of the actuator extends through the top of the housing. with dual stem seals to provide local visual indication of valve position.
  • Maintenance - The simple and reliable design allows quick and simple maintenance without the need of any specialized tools.
  • Reliability - Spring provides reliable and quick shutdown assistance when flowline pressure is low or not available.
  • Compliance - Certified for API 6A, PR-2, SSV applications. Valve/actuator packages can be supplied for PSL-1 to 3 applications.
  • Versatile - Suitable for operation over a wide temperature range:
  • Actuator-50°F (-46°C) to +150°F (+65°C),
  • Bonnet-50°F (-46°C) to +250°F (+121°C), (for most sizes).
  • Compatibility - Designed to be Interchangeable with AMBITION’s linear diaphragm and pneumatic piston type actuators.
  • Accessories - Suitable for use with fusible lock open device, fusible manual override, hydraulic override, stem protector, limit switch mounting and a wide range of industry standard control components.
  • Easy Installation - No special tools required.

The Piston range of hydraulic Control Fluid Powered linear actuators is designed to be used in conjunction with valve bonnets to provide open and close control for major brands of API 6A through conduit reverse acting gate valves fitted to oil and gas wellheads and production flow lines. 


Suitable for offshore and onshore locations and ideal for use in H2S and CO2 applications, the range of hydraulic piston actuators provides a simple and reliable valve automation solution, These actuators will be available in 5”, 6”and 8”diameters, suitable for valve sizes 1-13/16” thru 4-1/16” (bonnets for valve sizes).

The Piston range of pneumatic Control Fluid Powered linear actuators are designed to be used in conjunction with valve bonnets to provide open and close control for major brands of API 6A through conduit reverse acting gate valves fitted to oil and gas wellhead Christmas trees and production flow lines. 


Suitable for onshore and offshore locations and ideal for use in H2S and CO2 applications, the PHI range of piston actuators provides a simple and reliable valve automation solution. These actuators will be available in 10“ and 14” diameters, suitable for valve sizes 1-13/16“ thru 4-1/16”.

Pneumatic Surface Safety Valve (Diaphragm)

The diaphragm range of pneumatic Control Fluid Powered linear actuators is designed to be used in conjunction with valve bonnets to provide open and close control for major brands of API 6A through conduit reverse acting gate valves fitted to oil and gas wellheads and production flow lines. These actuators can also be used with API 6D and ANSI B16. 34 valves where the bonnets are built to the design.


Suitable for onshore and offshore locations and ideal for use in H2S and CO2 applications, the range of diaphragm actuators provides a simple and reliable valve automation solution. These actuators are available in 10“ , 12”, 16” and 18” diameters, suitable for valve sizes 1-13/16“ thru 4-1/16” API.
